Q) What are your prices for 2009?
A vehicle that will seat 4 passengers (inlcuding children) from Malaga Airport to Nerja costs just €69. A Minibus that will seat up to 8 passengers (including children) costs €99. A 12 seater Minibus costs €120. Each vehicle is exclusively yours.
Q) Why are you cheaper than any other transfer companies Malaga to Nerja?
You get better price when you book direct. Most transfer companies are just agents who make bookings for transfer companies worldwide. They are up to 50% more expensive than going direct in many cases.
Q) How do I pay for each journey?
You will reserve your transfer without paying any deposit at all. Then, at the end of each jouney, you just pay your chauffeur the previously aranged ammount in cash. No hastle, no problems.
Q) Will I have to share the taxi from Malaga to Nerja with others who are not in my party?
No. When you reserve a vehicle with us, no matter whether it is a 4 passenger, 8 passenger or 12 passenger vehicle, the vehicle is exclusively yours!
Q) Where will my driver meet me at the airport?
Your chauffer will meet you in the especially designated area for Taxis at Malaga Airport. This is located just after the baggage reclaim area after the first set of sliding doors. The Minibuses (i.e. 7-18 passengers) are located after the second set of glass sliding doors. In both cases the driver will be have an Airport Board A4 size with your name on it, in order that you can locate him as quickly as possible.
Please note that the taxi/private hire laws in Spain are very strict. There are numerous illegal Companies on the Costa del Sol openly advertising on the internet as legitimate taxi/transfer companies. There are also apartment owners & letting agencies offering cheap transfers, these are also illegal and there can be real problems in the event of any accident.
Malaga Airport is patrolled continuously by the police & government inspectors looking for illegal transfer people. If a Transfer driver asks to meet you anywhere apart from the designated area in the arrivals terminal, they will be illegal, (even if they use the excuse that this is due to building work), their vehicles will also not be insured for passenger liability cover. You should remember that if stopped by the Guardia Civil (Police) the vehicle would be confiscated immediately leaving you stranded. A vehicle that is licensed will be SP (Servicio Publico) plated by the Spanish Authorities and you can always ask to see a copy of the Companies "Targeta de Transporte" license if you are concerned.
Q) Which terminal do we meet at at Malaga Airport?
In short - normally Terminal 2. Terminal 1 is for Non EU arrivals, Terminal 2 is the main Terminal for UK, Ireland & rest of EU Arrivals. 90-95% of all European flights arrive Malaga Airport at terminal 2 although during busy times some flights are occasionally diverted to Terminal 1. Your chauffeur driver will be pre-warned of this and meet you there on arrival.
Q) Are your vehicles fully licensed and insured according to regulations?
Yes, all vehicles are fully licensed by the Local Authority, holding an up to date Tarjeta de Transporte License. Our vehicles are fully insured for full passenger liability cover and we strictly observe our Public License operating regulations. We take our passenger safety very seriously. Be careful of bogus companies as there are still some operating without licenses and liability insurance.
Q) What if my plane flight is delayed?
All flights are constantly monitored so our taxi chauffeurs will be at Malaga Airport to collect you when you arrive, so that you can start your holiday. Therefore if your flight is delayed there is no need to worry about paying costly waiting time as we will be aware of any delay.
Q) Are all fares fully inclusive or will I be asked for extra by the driver?
All our taxi fares are all pre arranged with you and the chauffeur and are fully inclusive (a tip is voluntary) so no haggling with the taxi driver and no unpleasant surprises when you reach you holiday destination.
Q) Should I tip the chauffeur?
The agreed price does not include gratuity. If you feel the driver has been helpful, courteous and friendly, then a small tip might be normal.
Q) Will my chauffeur help me with my luggage?
Absolutely! You dont need to struggle with your luggage at Malaga Airport or your holiday destination, as our men are here to help.
Q) Will all my luggage fit in the vehicles?
4 passenger vehicles can carry a maximum of two large suitcases or three medium sized suitcases (the soft variety not the hard plastic type) plus hand luggage. If your luggage would exceed this we would suggest you upgrade to a minibus, as it is illegal in spain to tie the boot of a vehicle down. There is no luggage restriction on minibuses.
Q) Can I smoke in the taxi?
We are sorry to say that our public service vehicles are non smoking.
You can book taxi 24 hours a day, 365 days per year with Nerja Taxis. If your flight is delayed don't worry as we monitor flights and our drivers have mobile flight information systems so we will wait for you at Malaga Airport until you are ready. Payment is made to your chauffer at the end of each journey.
We also provide transfers to Torrox, Frigiliana, Competa, La Herradura and Almuñecar and several other towns along the way.
